Fox Farm Field Trips

"A Farm Load of Fun All Year Long!"

Our year round field trips feature:

*A Hay Ride - bumpy, bouncy and always fun!

*The Barnyard - Animals to pet/ feed: Llama, Sheep, Pygmy Goats, Pot Belly Pigs, Miniature Bull, Miniature Donkey, Miniature Horse, Rabbits, Pigeons, and Horses. We also have a variety of birds that are fun to look at.

*Use of the picnic shelter and the playground.

Cost: Minimum $35 per group, or $3.50 per child,

Our planned activities usually take about one hour. You are welcome to hang out for an additional 30 minutes if you would like to let your students play on the playground or bring a snack/ bag lunch to enjoy under the picnic shelter. We ask that you please not exceed one hour and thirty minutes for your stay, due to additional groups coming to the farm after you. 

 

Please be on time for your trip to the farm. We do charge late fees due to the inconvience of other groups visiting the farm. See more info at the bottom of this page.

Teachers: The field trips on the farm are most suitable for kids in Pre K - 3rd grade; we have also had couple of middle school groups and special needs classes join us for a trip on the farm. If there are any educational standards you would like for us to touch on during the field trip please let us know.

 

Specialty trips described below include all the Basic Field Trip activities.

(Minimum of 10kids is required to be considered a group for a field trip.Or we can combine you with another group visiting.)

 

Fall Field Trips: Beginning in October.

  • A Pumpkin Hunt - Each person digs through the haystack to find a small pumpkin (about the size of a small cantaloupe) which they can take home.

Cost: $5.50 per student, $2.00 each for any additional pumpkins.

 

Christmas Field Trips: Beginning in mid November.

  • An exciting, fun, interactive educational lesson on plants, focusing on tree parts such as leaves, roots, seeds etc. geared to your grade level.
  • A baby pine tree for each student to take home.

 Cost:  $4.50 per student.  

 

Easter Egg Hunts:  Beginning in March.

  • We hide at least five eggs per student for the Easter Egg Hunt.
  • Goodie bags with prizes for each student. 
  • A visit from the Easter Bunny himself.

Cost:  $5.50 per student.  

 

*A weenie roast is available if you want to include lunch.  The children roast weenies over an open fire.  We provide hotdogs, buns, chips and a drink.  Cost: $3.00 per person that eats.  Of course, you are always welcome to bring your own lunch and picnic at the farm. 

 

*Want a fun snack at the farm?! We will supply the fire and ingredients to roast smores. Lots of fun for everyone! Cost: $2 per smore

*Important Information*

Unfortunately, when groups arrive late it inconveniences the groups that follow.  In an effort to provide the best field trip possible for all, we have had to institute ‘late arrival fees’ as stated below. 

0-15 minutes late –No Fee

16-30 minutes late - $10 Fee

31-45 minutes late - $20 Fee

46 or more minutes late – Trip Cancelled $30 Fee

Please allow plenty of travel times to insure you arrive on time
